Back to slinging Ink

Now that my intensive community based education writing class is over my attention is turned back to this Blog and my unfortunate "public".

My darling wife "J Cubed" and I have elected to not have children because we married at an advanced age. I am 55 and she is 47. There the truth is out for all to see and scoff as they may. There is also a genetic issue involve in possible offspring that taints the issue. The possibility is strong that any children born to us would not survive for very long due to a nervous system defect. Rather than run that risk and watch a child suffer needlessly a few days or months we elected to surgically prevent birth.

No pills, abortions, or such evils, just plain old no conception. Stop the problem before it starts. End of debate.

Yes, I am a right to life person and do feel that life begins a conception. If no conception takes place then the life does not begin. Plain and simple. If there is disagreement with my logic I am open to reproof.

I have at least three children at this point in time and am very proud of them in the most part. They do make mistakes as all young do in growing up. There is no great harm in that in general. I strive to give good guiding advice to help them along when they are willing to listen. Unfortunately they all have reached the age when they know it all and have not yet attained the age when the realization comes that someone other than they may know something also.

That point usually hits in the late twenties or early thirties for most humans.

Sooner for some, later for most. Depends on which school of hard knocks is attended and how well the lessons are learned. Some never learn any lessons at all.

Time to ease off my rant and plug in my meandering post. While we have no children here in the home. We do have a two year old miniature schnauzer, named Sassy, to keep us humble. She has the job of reminding us that we are not getting away scott free in the parenting game but must raise her to schnauzerly standards. That is not stop attention and full time play when at home. The fact that other things must be done are of no consequence to her, just like any other two year old.

She is supposed to sleep on her pillow at the foot of our bed under her own blanket.
Around two in the morning she likes to put on her 'stealth' paws and sneak into the bed with us and down by our feet where it is the warmest for her and slowly worm her way up between the two of us. That way she is stealing heat from both bodies!
